KOG's Week at a Glance

At The Refuge, this Monday's theme is “Giving Thanks” based on Psalm 100 and Luke 17:11-19. Skit about saying, “thank you.” Why is it so hard at times to say thanks to each other? To God?

This Sunday is the Last Sunday in the Church Year.
“Before the Foundation of the World” based on Matthew 25:31-46.
In these end times, we can be comforted knowing that Jesus, because of His death and resurrection, has already prepared a place for us--even before the foundation of the world.

The Refuge is here! It is held at KOG every Monday night at 7:00. Come Monday night and check it out! Come also and enjoy coffee, drinks, snacks and fellowship at 6:30 prior to worship. This is a brand new way of connecting with God and His Word, and replaces our Saturday evening service. And while you're at it, invite a friend or two to join you!

"Helping Hands Network" - What is it? How can I help? How can I use the network? Watch for this new project that will be a very personal way we can be servants to each other! More news coming soon!

Ministry Opportunity: Deaconess Jana Knight from Voice of Care ministries is conducting weekly devotions at the Little Angels home in Elgin for children with disabilities. The devotion time is from 4-4:45 p.m. each Wednesday. She is asking if anyone from our congregation might be interested in attending and being with the children during that time. If interested, see Pastor Perry.

WE EXIST...
to grow in our relationship with Jesus and with one another.

WE ACCOMPLISH THIS BY...
learning, worshipping, sharing, and praying.

WE STRIVE...
to bring others into a relationship
with Jesus and with us.

Please continue to bring us your recycled papers and aluminum cans. There is a large green & yellow container for paper at the back end of the parking lot. Aluminum can be placed in the small wooden box near the shed. Thank you for your continued support of the youth!

Open a checking account for $50 or more at the National City Bank (just north of church on Randall Rd.) and they will donate back to KOG $25. See details in the narthex.

"Happy Birthday to You." Remember to put your birthday pennies into the "Penny-a-year" birthday box. You can honor relatives and friends birthdays, also. Think about the thought behind this mission project; God uses even our little bits to do His work. Don't hold back because you are not rich.

Listen to a one-minute thought-for-the-day message of love, comfort, hope, joy and expectation.
